I Have a Dream .....Sometimes It Just Makes Sense....

It is now 1:33 am and I have been awoken from a deep sleep not by the same old insomnia or the fear that I will wake up tomorrow and everything that I own will be gone. I already had that for a while and after you lose everything you wonder why you even woke up at all.

I woke up because I had a dream that I went to the doctor and he gave me some really huge pills to take. NOW here is where it gets interesting. I get the pills home and I am about to take one when my lady says "Wow, now that's a horse pill if I ever saw one." THIS IS THE POINT WHERE I WOKE UP! I am not sure if it was a shock to my system or not but what follows is where my mind took me in the wee hours of the day.

Have you ever been to the doctor? No really have you? Yeah, I was just there not long ago for a chronic pain. Being astute as usual the doctor prescribed something for the pain and I was on my merry way. Have you ever noticed that doctors appointments only take a tenth of the time you waited in the waiting room for? I guess it is all the charting and hand sanitizing that takes so long to get from one patient to the next. Doctors have to read stuff you know. Like my chart would probably say April 18, 1971 was born. He was here a lot as a kid, but since he has been able to afford insurance has only been here twice as an adult. Once for pneumonia which I told him to quit smoking and the other time for an ear infection which I told him to quit smoking. Note to self...Ask patient if he quit smoking. Today's visit is for pain. I prescribed some really huge pills and told him to quit smoking even though I forgot to ask him if he did which means I should have read the note to self but didn't because I really had to take a crap and didn't want to waste any extra time. I only have ten minutes to get all that done before the next patient. Am I still dictating? I should really tur.......

Anyway so I am back at the horse pill thing. This really set my mind turning because outside of pills that I have had to wrap in bacon and give to the dog I have never had to administer any kind of medication to a pet. I certainly am aware that their are horse owners because when they just let them roam through the neighborhood it really pisses me off.

So I was really taken back when someone did say that the pills looked like horse pills. My immediate response was yeah Dr. Quinn when is that last time you had to administer those pills here on the open prarie? I mean honestly couldn't they relate the size of the pill to something I really have swallowed like, say, pen caps.
Like they could say those pills are as big as a industrial size sharpie marker cap. Then I could relate because you really have to swallow hard to get them sons a bitches down. Really though think about it. Gel caps....could have been Gel Pen Caps at one time, but they removed the Pen part because of packaging. You could relate everything to pen caps when it comes to most capsules like that is the size of a bic stick pen cap. I know you are chewing on one right now while you read this....yeah smarty pants I know how you read. Think even further about this. Why would they make the novelty syringe pens if they didn't have some subconscious connect to medications being shaped like pens? Yeah I got you thinking now don't I. Well, then if one goes in the mouth lets break down what goes in the rear. Obviously you wouldn't want to relate that to a pen cap because you are chewing on one right now. So the next logical step is to use that dirty thing on the end of your pencil. That suppository was the size of a pink pet eraser. That suppository was the size of a black board eraser. You see where I am headed right? So now I have just made marketing history! I have just saved the day for that next Tylenol cross promotion. Get a free gel pen with the purchase of gel caps. I really am a genius. Thanks for laughing....if not at all of it at least the last line.

The MCainiacs...Do You Palin Comparison?

John McCain is right?

I love edited speeches that validate a point which is pointless. I believe that agreeing with someone and acknowledging that they are right is not a give up at all, but a considerate way to steer a debate into your favor.

Secondly, what McCain tried to sum up in 30 seconds...it takes Obama nearly 30 minutes to say. I am still wondering why we have yard signs and newspaper ads? Is the internet not enough?

It is sleepy time for me....this has got to be the worst political season I have ever had to watch.
